Privacy
This is a static site. There are no accounts, no logins, and no comment system. Two forms exist — the email list and the enquiry form — and both are described below.
What is collected
No cookies are set by this site. There is no advertising network, no tracking pixel, no session recording, and no analytics of any kind. Nothing counts your visit.
If you use one of the two forms
The email list stores the address you give, the page you gave it on, and the timestamps of your subscribing and confirming — the consent record. You confirm from your own inbox, so nobody can add you; unsubscribing scrubs the address to a hash and clears the stored IP.
The enquiry form stores your message, the address you gave to be replied to, which of the four kinds you picked, and the page you sent it from. It does not store your IP beside that message.
It does, separately, record your IP address in a rate-limiting table, so that one connection cannot flood the form. Those rows are deleted once they are more than two hours old, by the next request that touches the table, and are not joined to anything you sent. That is the whole of it, and it is written here because the form's own wording — "no IP address is kept beside your message" — is true of the message and would be misleading on its own.
Both databases sit outside the public web root on the same server that serves this site. No third party receives any of it.
That is a statement about today, not a permanent promise. If we ever add a page-view counter it will be a cookieless, aggregate one that cannot identify you, and this page will say so on the day it goes in. An earlier version of this page described a counter that was not actually running; it has been corrected, which is the same standard we hold the guides to.
Your hosting provider records standard server logs, as every web server does.
Third parties
There are none. Fonts used to be served by Google Fonts, which meant your browser made a request to Google on every page; they are now served from this site, so it does not. Outbound links to studies and other sites are marked and open in a new tab; once you follow one, that site's privacy policy applies — but nothing loads from anywhere else unless you click.
